Feegor. A smarter way for SMEs to discover, negotiate, and source products directly from verified suppliers and manufacturers. Feegor helps businesses buy in bulk without relying on fragmented supply chains, unnecessary travel, or countless middlemen. From product discovery to payment and delivery, the platform brings the entire sourcing process into one digital experience. At its core, it wasn't just about buying products online. It was about making sourcing feel predictable again.
The Reality
How businesses sourced products before Feegor. For many small businesses, restocking wasn't something you planned. It was something you endured. Finding the right supplier meant travelling between markets, comparing prices manually, and hoping the products were authentic. Even after spending an entire day sourcing, there was no guarantee you had found the best deal or even the right supplier. The process worked, but only because people had learned to live with the inefficiencies.
The Turning Point
What changed the way I approached the experience. The biggest challenge wasn't helping people place orders. It was helping them make confident decisions before placing one. Businesses needed to know who they were buying from, whether prices were competitive, if products were available, and how quickly they could receive them. Once those questions were answered clearly, purchasing became the easy part. That shifted the experience from simply browsing products to building confidence throughout the sourcing journey.
The Design Decision
Designing for different ways businesses buy. Not every customer arrives with the same intention. Some already know exactly what they need. Others are comparing suppliers, negotiating prices, or exploring alternatives before committing. Rather than forcing everyone through the same path, I designed flexible journeys that supported different buying behaviours while keeping the experience consistent from discovery to checkout.
The Overlooked Detail
Trust isn't built with badges alone. Buying in bulk involves larger financial commitments, and uncertainty grows with every additional order. Instead of treating supplier verification as another label on a product page, the experience continuously reinforced credibility through supplier information, product details, pricing transparency, and order visibility. The goal wasn't simply to tell users who to trust. It was to give them enough context to decide for themselves.
When It Meets Reality
What happens after someone decides to buy. Ordering products is only one part of procurement. Businesses still need to track deliveries, manage payments, monitor inventory, and prepare for the next restock. Those moments determine whether a platform becomes part of daily operations or just another marketplace. Designing beyond checkout helped Feegor become a sourcing tool businesses could keep coming back to, not just another place to make purchases.
Final Thoughts
Bulk sourcing didn't need more features. It needed fewer uncertainties. The experience wasn't designed to replace how businesses already worked. It was designed to remove the unnecessary effort surrounding it, making procurement feel faster, more transparent, and significantly more dependable.
